The telecommunications industry has been evolving rapidly in the past few years because of a huge demand of better quality web browsing. Third generation or 3G mobile phone technology, was known to be amongst the best technology upgrades as it presented the idea of having very fast broadband with Wifi. Once again, technology is about to take another leap forward with the next. Many people are now awaiting the arrival of the much anticipated 4G in 2013.

News of this technological breakthrough has been spreading very fast even when it was in its early stages. Now, many countries have been attempting to obtaing this development so that they can meet the growing demands of their consumers. Even though many are rushing to get this next generation technology, the United Kingdom appears to be doing things slowly by trying to perfect it first so that it is less sensitive to flaws.

As anticipated, the speed of the internet connection will go up which means faster downloads, faster uploads, and much quicker browsing for everyone. Also, with the new advancement in internet connection, one might now be able to stream movies online in hd without slowing down the connection. Behind us are the times where we would have to wait long hours for the movie to load.

Of course the strength of the connection will also become stronger as well. Normally, if one were to connect to the internet through wireless, one would have to be at most ten miles away from it. With the new 4G technology, the signal might reach even approximately two kilometres or more.

Security is another issue that has been resolved by the brand new technological advancements of the fourth generation. Usually, when one connects to the internet of another person through Wifi, one is in danger of getting their personal details stolen. The new 4G protects these users from possible information theft.

Fourth Generation is made to be so powerful that it can even resist bad weather. It is a common problem that the broadband connection is slow during storms and such. However, with this development, bad weather will not be a problem.

One can clearly see that the future is bright for the next generation of technological developments in mobile technology. A very interesting thing to know before the official adaption of 4G is that the US and the United Kingdom do not use the same operators. The issue with having different operators is that there are characteristics in the United States version that the UK version does not have and vice versa. In the United Kingdom, the operator for 4G is LTE while in the United States, it is Wimax. The only difference between the two is that LTE has more choices to limit bandwidth than Wimax.

Do take note that the official release date is not stated so everyone should just patiently wait for any other announcements. The only sure thing is that people will be using 4G in 2013. So just wait a little while longer as one of the principal technological advancements is coming soon.
