Cell phones have greatly altered our main means of communication. Nearly every American has a cell phone since they became popular about 15 years ago. Small children even have cell phones to stay in touch with their parents.

So how have cell phones truly changed the way we communicate? Cell phones have cut costs of communication, improved quality of communication, and enhanced accessibility to information.

We can put appointments in our calendars, and have a quick go-to application that helps use obtain GPS navigation on the road or in a city. Cell phones also allow us to document special moments on the fly such as capturing videos or still photography, without every worrying about the forgotten camera, or where to store it.

We can send updates to our family on the weather quicker than ever before. Listening to music has never been easier. With most new mobile devises, you can customize your music and have your device pull up the song title or artist of a song you're unfamiliar with.

The new mobile applications allow you to also read books and purchase items online straight from your phone. The ultimate way it's changed our means of communication? Education. By having these devices by our side 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, we can tap into webinars, classes, articles and blogs.

Access to information has also never been easier to obtain. Now-a-days, cell phones allows you to download specific applications that spark your interest. You now have quick and easy access to deals and promotions at your favorite stores, receiving a text message or email of discounts. You can also take quick photography or capture videos of special moment. Things such as accessing the weather, making calculations, etc. are also super easy.

Overall, mobile devices allow us to interact, engage and network greater than ever before. With the vast lines of communication, you can easily communicate, get advice, seek professional help from across the world. Cell phone purchases have continued to go up and up each year. Companies are recognizing our needs and the importance of eliminating paper trails and written documents. Everything is much easier and accessible via a small hand-held device that allows storing of information and communication.
