When you think of sending a quick and convenient message to somebody right now, Cellphones are that reliable means that you will turn to first. They will give you the ability to perform a quick and convenient transfer of messages or information to people who are far off. They can also be annoying gadgets.

Mastering the borderline between annoyance and good use of the cellphone is mastering the cellphone etiquette. Here are a few tips.

Before you walk into a meeting room or when you are attending a class, you should check to confirm if your phone is switched off. You can really get into someone's nerves if he is trying to concentrate on something then your phone blasts them to disarray.

It is not in all situations where switching phones off is possible. Some times, you may have to stay in the radar to get or send some important contacts. Therefore instead of letting that contract go to the dogs, you can simply leave your phone on silent. Only excuse yourself for the call.

If the current situation does not allow one to answer calls, you could leave it in voicemail and later on return the call.

Ring tones can also be more annoying than we think. People have different tastes for ring tones. Therefore, it can really step on somebody's toes if you have a very loud one which the bloke two floors down can hear. Try and set your phone to vibrate when calls come in.

You would be casting your net too wide when you try to multitask driving and talking to a friend while driving. No phone call matters more than your safety. For this reason, it will be wise to make a stop over and answer a call if by chance they come while you are driving.

A cellphone should not be used for the prank calls which you keep hearing about. It invades someone's respect and privacy.
