Present day mobile phones are packed with incredible collection of gadgetry features like high quality camera, music players, voice recorders, internet options and so on. These are all good I there own places; but what about the needs of people with impaired vision, hearing and such other disabilities?

Being visually impaired can be very painful. But thanks to technology that has made different gadgets and devices in order to make life much easier for people with such misfortune; and cellular phones is one of them.

There are specific handsets that are equipped with a very special feature called screen reader. This software eliminates the problem of reading text and navigating the phone. Therefore, with such software using a sleek new age phone isn't a problem at all.

Most phones today have numbers embossed on the keys. This helps a visually impaired person make out the numbers on the keypad only by touching the buttons.

A mobile phone for visually impaired people also has voice control. This gives the visually impaired person, the freedom to operate the phone with minimal key-presses. Commands can be programmed quite easily too.

You can also find handsets that are equipped with screen magnifiers. So, people with partial eyesight can use these phones without much difficulty. Screen magnifiers enlarge texts and images for better vision.

For people who don't have vision at all, there are phones with no screen and very few buttons. This kind of arrangement ensures easy usability.

A mobile phone for visually impaired people is a boon for those who are unfortunate enough to have lost their sight partially or completely.
