I Like This - Car Mount For Cell Phone Review

I've contemplated switching to the window mount, but honestly, the vent mount suffices to stay out of my field of view and within reach if I need to adjust GPS without pulling the phone off the window. The cushions on the feet and arms are starting to show signs of continued compression, but I'm not particularly concerned yet. They are already, after only 3 months, beginning to tear and crack. The other major complaint I have is about the adhesive mounting pad for my dash. In addition, once mounted, however temporarily, neither provides a sufficiently stable platform for an iPod or an iPhone (I tried with both). This item is made of very cheap plastic and broke within the first 6 weeks. I'm sure moving it around a few inches to find the sweet spot isn't that big of a deal. On the bright side, the mount stays upright and is cooled by the air conditioner.

It holds the phone nice and tight and the clips fit perfectly in my RAV4 vents. For me, this was a great purchase.

It includes multiple mounting options: Windshield, Dashboard, and Vent. My only caution is that if you try to use this product with a phone that is too narrow, it won't hold the phone. This works well for the iPhone 4 in my BMW e46 vent. It's easy to install. All of the mounts work with the included holding piece. I'll review each piece separately. My wife and I both have Motorola Droid X phones. I bought 2 mounts as we have 2 cars.

I'll just give it to a friend who has a Droid X and see how it goes with him. I really lucked out on this one. You can put this puppy anywhere on the windshield and have excellent access to your phone. I have a great camcorder and this unit allows me to swivel my phone to horizontal position and use my camcorder (or camera) while driving with just the push of a button. The phone holder is click-adjustable and holds most smart phones and PDAs. The size isn't right for small feature phones. Very easy to assemble and the parts fit very well. The grip is snug and the phone sits securely in it.

Going through bumpy roads, the mount starts rattling loudly, which is also annoying. Other than that, it is a good product that helps me focus on the road.

Works great. It holds my HTC Evo 4g one of the biggest phones out there and it fits it great.
